BROKEN HEARTS

I remember in high school everyone was talking about the Broken Hearts. I never got to hear them in person! It seemed that they were here and then all too fast, they were gone. I consider this musica a Tejano music historical treasure.---- "DQ" Quintanilla

BROKEN HEARTS

Only once in a great while does a band capture the attention of an entire generation, in a flash. Today a las ocho, 8:00 a.m. CST (Chicano Standard Time) we showcase one band that did just that. The singer would get so emotional singing about a lost true love that he would actually cry on stage, thereby capturing the minds and hearts of all who heard this original, Tejano history making band. Then, just as fast as the audience grew and the word spread, he was killed in an auto accident on the road to fame and this completely original style was instantly gone. Considered by those who experienced the emotion and excitement, "the top band" of an entire style known as Tejano.---- Daryl DQ Quintanilla
